Garrett and I took a short trip to ride the city of Baltimore, Maryland and stack some footage. Baltimore is one of the cities that Garrett rode the most growing up, so now that he resides in Long Beach, CA, it was rad to see him back on home field so to speak. Garrett may be a Long Beach transplant, but I think this video does a good job at showing how his wallride-filled, spot-oriented style of riding was shaped by the East Coast architecture he grew up riding. – Zach Krejmas
Van Homan takes us on a trip down memory lane to revisit his childhood dirt jumping beginnings. The “Pit of Doom” is where it all began.
Dan Foley’s selfie videos are always a treat and this one’s no exception. I love how it feels like it’s one long line and he’s just cruisin’ around the neighborhood throwing some moves.
In this new How-To from Dan’s Comp, Van Homan gives you the steps on how to tweak a turndown.
The Pleg 2 features a completely re-designed 7075 aluminum core and proprietary plastic sleeve. This new design allows for a smaller overall peg diameter and substantially increases stiffness. The Pleg 2 core runs 3/4’s of the length of the sleeve so direct damage to the core’s end can be avoided, simplifying sleeve removal and maintaining socket fit.
The Pleg 2 is a lightweight peg with significant sleeve thickness for a longer grind life.
Sleeve Material: Proprietary Plastic Blend
Sleeve Length: 100mm / 4″
Sleeve Diameter: 39mm / 1.5″ (“Normal” steel peg diameter)
Core Configuration: 14mm or 3/8″
Core Material: 7075-T6 Aluminum
Weight: 3.6oz / 102g
Fit just put up a new gallery showing off Van’s new bike. He’s rocking our Birdcage Wheelset (Ratchet + Marmoset + Birdcage) and it’s looking good!
Zach is a man of many talents. Besides working full time as one of Ride BMX‘s main video producers, he also manages to do some proper shredding around town. We’re proud to have him on the team and his video debut is not one to be missed.
Van Homan has been around for a long time and the influence of his Criminal Mischief part from over a decade ago can still be felt today. Judging by this week’s interview from Ride BMX, it doesn’t look like he’d be easing up on that throttle any time soon. He’s fully recovered from his knee injuring and back to whipping 30 foot gaps again.
It’s rewarding knowing that there’s plenty of things I’m capable of now that I couldn’t have dreamed of back in 2001.
